Biography:
Dr. Douglas J. Paul founded ZAPS Learning Company, assisting over 500,000 students with SAT and ACT scores. Later, he established Doorway to College and led Buckle Down Publishing Company. Based in Kenosha, he created the Harvest Preserve Foundation to conserve land. In his book "Go Figure," he shares stories from his childhood in Kenosha to significant moments in Iowa City, including marriage, obtaining a doctorate, and leading educational publishing. The narratives reveal his origins and transition to volunteer work at Harvest Preserve in 2004. As members of the Self-Realization Fellowship Church, Douglas and Linda have been pillars of Iowa City since 1977, reflecting on memory's authenticity and a life well-lived.
