People are so stupid. DH's aunt was watching my daughter play with her cousin, who is only a few months older than her, and said "They play so well together! You should have another one!" I wanted to say "You do realize that if I had another child now, they'd be years apart, rather than months, right? But if you insist, I'll be happy to have another, as long as you're willing to pay the $10K it costs to try. Did you bring your checkbook?"I have a second mortgage that pains me monthly to pay for the child that never came to rest in my arms, but it pains me even more to hear the ignorant comments from people who feel they can comment on the size of my family or the impact of my DD's upbringing as an "only child."
