I'm just the opposite, which may freak out new moms in another way ...

When asked -- and ONLY when asked -- I share the stories about how all my babies were born at home with a midwife. That the worst part for me was the boredom because I couldn't focus on anything. That my LaMaze (?) classes worked exactly the way they were supposed to. That my last baby was 12 lbs even, but I didn't believe the midwifes and made them weigh Lulu (youngest daughter) again and show me. I always share this in a nice, calm manner.

What I don't share, of course, is how I began to hemorrhage after Lulu was born, how I developed gestational diabetes, how I had morning sickness all day, every day, for three solid months with each child.

New moms don't need to hear that crappe.
