I can understand the reasons for the headcover but some of the women wearing wigs for religious reasons puzzle me. Now the wigs are so realistic, and women wear them for so many reasons, I’m more likely to think cancer patient than religious reasons if I could even identify the fact the woman was wearing a wig. I’m sure in many instances I do not even notice. That being said, it’s up to each individual woman what she chooses to use.
It is a bit of a grey area, because the quality of the wigs is so good these days that you can’t always tell, which kind of defeats the purpose somewhat. But on the other hand, it is quite good that it isn’t obvious, especially when there is such an upsurge in antisemtism going on, we want to “blend in” somewhat, not draw unwanted attention to ourselves. I agree it’s up to the individual woman.
